Handsome Empire card or tea table with center pedestal in mahogany and matchbook flame mahogany.  Hinged top opens to reveal compartment and pivot to become square table.  Scalloped edge top and frieze supported by dramatic harp base and scroll legs with castors.  American, New York, c. 1840.
