Gorgeous, rare small highboy in walnut and burl, with fine marquetry,  feather banding, and cockbeading.  The molded cornice is set on the upper case with canted and molded corners, containing five drawers.  The lower case has three drawers with the same marquetry detail as above.  The apron is scalloped, and pad feet support elongated cabriole legs.  Rare for both its size, refined proportions, and fine details. English or possibly New England, c. 1720.
